Officers responded quickly and located a man who was arrested shortly after 5:30am.
A 34-year-old man from Basildon remains in custody after being arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Enquiries remain ongoing.
Inspector Sam Girdlestone said “Burglaries at businesses and homes remain a priority for us and we will always look to respond as quickly as we can.
“We are continuing enquiries for this investigation and the stolen items have been recovered.
“Our officers, including our Business Crime Team continue to work with local businesses across the county to ensure they are protected from opportunistic burglaries.”
