Specialist officers have made five more arrests as we continue to tackle those suspected of causing harm in our communities.
The Operational Support Group (OSG) are a specialist team who support other teams from across the force in carrying out activity which is vital to keep people safe and progress investigations.
This work can include conducting high visibility patrols, making arrest attempts, and carrying out warrants, as well as proactive patrols on our roads.
Carrying out proactive arrest attempts officers made arrests including in connection with a serious assault and aggravated burglary, and while responding to a collision in Latchingdon made a drug driving arrest.
Elsewhere they supported investigations to find missing people.
Chief Inspector Richard Baxter, who leads the OSG, said:
“The work my team does is really important to bring suspects into custody and help progress investigations.
“Yesterday was another busy day but the team doesn’t stop, and they’ll be out in our communities and on our roads again today.”
