Officers have responded to information from the public and arrested a man following a burglary in Hadleigh.
A business premises in London Road Hadleigh was broken into on 22 December 2023, between 2am and 4am.
This break-in is being linked to a number of others recently in the Hadleigh area.
Following information from the public, officers acted swiftly and arrested a 28 year-old man this morning on suspicion of burglary and he is currently in custody.
Officers also recovered a number of items including laptops, monitors, TVs, and tools believed to have been stolen.
Inspector David Kealy, from the Castle Point Community Policing Team, said:
“Burglary is a really horrible and invasive crime and we know the impact it can have on those affected.
“Last year we saw a fall in the number of burglaries across the Castle Point district and we’re working hard to reduce them further.
“Officers responded to quickly on information provided from the our community and have got a suspect in custody.
“I want to thank the public for this – providing information to us can be vital to investigations and I’d ask that if you have details about this, or any other, crime you tell us about it.”
