Officers investigating a disturbance in Westcliff have secured charges against a man.
We were called to Hamlet Court Road near Ceylon Road at around 7:20pm on Monday, 8 January following reports of a burglary at a flat.
A 22-year-old man from Romford was arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Khalid Mohamud, 22, of Montpelier Gardens, Romford, has since been charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine, possession of criminal property, possession of cannabis and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
He appeared at Southend Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday 10 January), where he was remanded in custody until a hearing at Basildon Crown Court on Wednesday 7 February.
