Officers have arrested two people in connection with a disturbance at an address in North Weald on Saturday, 18 May.
At just after 6.15pm we were called to reports of a fight taking place at the Phoenix Hotel in Epping Lane.
Emergency services were quickly deployed to the scene and two people were arrested within 90 minutes.
One person was taken to hospital. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
A 32-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and affray and a 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and affray. They remain in custody.
Our enquiries are continuing.
Epping Forest District Commander Chief Inspector Tina Cooper said:
“We understand people will be concerned to hear about this incident.
"But I want to reassure the local community that this was an isolated incident between people known to each other at the premises. We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.
"We are working closely with our partners across Epping Forest and officers will be out and about patrolling in the area today.
"If you have any questions or concerns please do come and talk to us.”
