Three men have been arrested after robbing their victim in his home and threatening him with a knife.
We were called to reports of a robbery at an address in Quayside Drive in Colchester at about 6.50pm on Wednesday 20 November.
It was reported a victim had been robbed by three suspects at his home address. The suspects threatened the victim, taking a vehicle and the keys to a second vehicle as they left.
Officers quickly attended the scene due to threats made by the suspects that they would come back, and officers arrested three men in Quayside Drive shortly after 8pm. The stolen vehicle was also recovered.
All men, a 20-year-old from London E16, a 21-year-old from Colchester, and a 23-year-old from Croydon, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and have now been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Sergeant Matt Scrivener said:
“The officers responding to this victim did an exemplary job to quickly gather the details of the incident and make these arrests.
“We won’t tolerate violent crime in our district, and this incident shows that if you offend in Colchester you will be arrested.”
