A man is due in court later this month charged in connection with a serious collision in Hadleigh in May.
A red BMW and a red Volkswagen were in collision in London Road at around 9.10pm on Thursday 2 May.
Two people sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital and two men were arrested.
One of the arrested men – Sean Kirkham, of Longtown Road, Brampton, Cumbria – has now been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, drink driving, and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
He is due to appear at Southend Magistrates’ Court on 18 November.
The second man arrested has since been told he faces no further action.
