A man has been charged as part of an investigation into a series of vehicle crimes in the Harwich and Mistley areas.
Officers have been carrying out an investigation into a series of thefts of vehicles, theft from vehicles, and attempts to get into vehicles between 16 July and 21 October.
Thirty-four year-old Joseph Waters, of Cliff Road, Dovercourt had been arrested as part of our enquiries.
He has now been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of theft from a vehicle, and fraud by false representation.
He is next due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 29 November.
Officers also arrested a 21 year-old woman from Harwich on suspicion of theft from a vehicle, theft of a vehicle, and interfering with a vehicle.
She has been released on bail until 6 January.
