A woman has been charged with theft from a shop after more than £400 of items were taken from a Sainsbury’s shop in Brentwood.
We were called to the supermarket in William Hunter Way on Wednesday 11 September following reports a suspect left the shop making no attempt to pay for the items they were carrying.
A 44-year-old woman was arrested at the scene.
Now, 44-year-old Janine Rees, of Fairview Avenue in Hutton, has been charged with theft from a shop.
She appeared at Southend-on-Sea Magistrates’ Court this morning, Thursday 12 September.
