A man has been charged after a woman was injured following a collision with a bike.
An officer in a marked police car had seen a man leave a shop in Broomfield Road, Chelmsford at around 6.25pm yesterday (Saturday 31 August), and acting suspiciously around a bike before riding off on it.
Our officer directed the cyclist to stop but they failed to do so.
They were then in collision with a pedestrian who was left with an injury to her head.
A man was arrested.
Charlie Huntwragg, 24, of Wells Crescent, Chelmsford has now been charged with dangerous cycling, possession of a Class A drug, and assault by beating.
He is due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday 2 September).
