Ongar: Fatal collision

A woman has died following a collision in Ongar this morning.

It was reported a black Fiat 500 was in collision with a black Ford Ranger in Epping Road at 9.10am today (Monday 23 September).

Sadly, the passenger in the Fiat, a woman in her 20s, died at the scene while the driver, also a woman in her 20s, has been taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.

The driver of the Ford has sustained a serious arm injury.

The road was closed while our officers investigated but has now re-opened.

We need anyone who has any dash cam or other footage to get in contact with us.
