Officers are continuing to investigate a fatal collision on the A130 on Wednesday, 4 September.
We were called to the A130, close to Rayleigh Spur Roundabout at around 4:30am on Wednesday, 4 September following a collision involving one vehicle.
The driver of the car, a 37-year-old man was taken to hospital where he sadly died later that morning.
His family are aware and receiving support from specialist officers.
Our Serious Collision Investigation Unit are continuing enquiries and appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dashcam footage to contact us, quoting incident number 121 of 4 September.
