A man has appeared in court to answer charges involving eight counts of burglary thanks to the work of quick responding officers as part of an investigation into series of break-ins in Buckhurst Hill and Epping.
A number of garages and sheds were broken into in the Princes Road area of Buckhurst Hill and Chapel Road in Epping in the early hours of 27 January.
Items including bikes were taken.
Following a number of calls reporting the incidents officers were deployed to the scene and carried out a search of the area.
Within three hours of the first incident being reported a man was arrested and brought into custody.
Shane O’Connor, 29, of Forest Drive, Chelmsford has since been charged with eight counts of burglary.
He appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Tuesday 28 January) and is next due to appear at Chelmsford Crown Court on 25 February.
