Quick responding officers have recovered a car less than 20 minutes after they were reported stolen.
The vehicle was one of two taken from an address in Fairfield, Ingatestone overnight between 27 and 28 January.
The theft was reported to us shortly after 7.15am on 27 January and within 20 minutes our officers had been deployed and had traced and found it.
Acting Sergeant Kris Hackett said:
“We know the impact having your car stolen can have.
“It impacts you taking the kids to school, doing the weekly food shop, and getting to work.
“It’s a crime we take really seriously and in 2024 we saw nearly 120 fewer incidents were vehicles were stolen across the Brentwood district – that’s down 28 percent on the previous year.
“Our enquiries into this incident and to identify those responsible are ongoing and I am glad we have been able to return these vehicles to their rightful owner.”
If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident from the area between 10pm on 27 January and 7am the following day, then please get in contact with us.
