Three men have been charged after specialist officers executed a series of co-ordinated warrants as part of an investigation into the sale of Class A drugs.
Warrants were carried out at addresses in the Maldon and Barking areas shortly after 5.30am on Thursday 23 January.
During searches of the properties officers seized tens of thousands of pounds in cash, suspected Class A and Class B drugs and three vehicles, one of which we believe had been stolen.
Three men were arrested and they have now been charged.
Mohammed Islam, 38, of Coventry Road, Ilford, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, conspiracy to supply Class B drugs, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
Maruf Ahmed, 21, of Dryden Close, Maldon, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and conspiracy to supply Class B drugs.
Rahel Ahmed, 32, of Heron Way, Mayland, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, conspiracy to supply Class B drugs, and concealing, disguising, converting, transferring, or removing criminal property.
They are all due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court today (Friday 24 January).
A 16 year-old girl arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine has been released on bail until 10 April.
