A Grays man has been charged with assaulting a police officer and another person following an incident in the town.
Rocky Price, 31, of Jesmond Road, was arrested on Friday evening, 28 February 2025, in Lodge Lane by officers from Grays Local Policing Team.
He has now been charged with assaulting a police officer, assault causing actual bodily harm, possession of a weapon designed or adapted for the discharge of a gas, possession of a Taser with intent to cause a police officer to believe that unlawful violence would be used against them or another.
Price appeared before Southend magistrates on 3 March 2025 and was committed to Basildon Crown Court for trial. He is next due to appear on 31 March 2025
