We are investigating a collision on the A127 at Laindon which has left one person seriously injured.
It was reported a taxi and a stationary broken down BMW Z4 were in collision shortly after 8.05pm on Saturday 1 March.
It happened between the Mayflower retail park and the Burches roundabout and the road was closed for around three and-a-half hours.
A woman who was a passenger in the taxi has sustained serious injuries to her face and was taken to hospital for treatment.
We want to thank the public for their patience and are appealing for anyone who has information about what happened to come forward.
In particular we want any footage of either vehicle in the moments before the collision.
