A dispersal order is in place across Witham from Friday 31 October 12pm to Sunday 2 November 6am in order to help officers prevent anti-social behaviour in the town.
Police will have the power to disperse groups where they are concerned the public may be harassed, alarmed or distressed, or if they think crime will occur.
The order includes Newlands Street, Powers Hall End, Hatfield Road, Rickstones Road, Highfields Road and all other areas within the map.
Acting Inspector Kevin Mayle said:
“We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy Halloween weekend and this dispersal order gives us the powers to ensure that.
“We will be out on patrol across the town this weekend, so if you have any concerns please let our officers know.”
