A man has been arrested following a disturbance in Rochford.
Officers were called at around 6.55pm on Saturday 13 June to reports of a man behaving erratically in the area of Warwick Drive.
It was also reported that the man was in possession of a knife.
Officers attended, identified a suspect, and a struggle ensued during the arrest.
A man was arrested and a knife was recovered at the scene.
An 18-year-old man from Rochford has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in custody.
Several officers sustained injuries while making the arrest.
We are aware of social media rumours suggesting an officer was stabbed during this incident. This is not the case.
