Cyber security roadshow to be held in Essex
Essex Police is hosting a cyber security roadshow which aims for bring people together to discuss and promote best practice.
The roadshow is part of a series of national cyber events being run by the National Police Chief’s Council (NPCC) and Metsi Technologies and hosted by regional crime units.
The Essex event is being held at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in Colchester on Wednesday, September 27.
It’s a free event which aims to bring together cyber security experts, local business and law enforcement to promote best practice in the world of cyber security through a series of speakers and workshops. This will then help local businesses to plan, prepare and protect themselves from the increased threat of cyber crime.
Last year, the Federation of Small Business found that 66 per cent of small businesses had been a victim of cyber crime at a cost around £3,000 each.
