Beverley Brinkley, aged 35, was viciously attacked by two men in the third floor lobby area of the flats where she lived in The Stow, Harlow, at about 7:45pm on Sunday 2 February, 2003.
The assault left the mother of three daughters with serious head injuries, resulting in her death in Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, four days later.
Seven people were arrested in connection with Beverley’s death but following enquiries they were released without charge.
It's never too late to come forward with information, no matter how small or insignificant you think your information might be. It could be the missing puzzle piece we've been looking for.
In 2004 Essex Police received two letters that were written anonymously and we are still keen to identify who wrote those letters as they could really help with our enquiries.
We also want to identify two men who were seen to leave the area shortly after the incident.
They first man was described as being white, fairly short (and the shorter of the two men), of stocky build, aged in his late 30s to early 40s, with dark wavy hair on top with a cropped style cut in to the back of the neck. He had dark piercing eyes and dark stubble.
The second man was described as also being white, younger than the first and with blond shaven hair. He was of stocky build with long legs.
