Based at the Essex Police Museum, Headquarters. Chelmsford.
Attending group visits when needed, typically 1 visit per week dependant on demand and volunteer cover arrangements.
Depending on the requirements of the group, visits last between 1.5 and 3 hours. You should allow half an hour before and after each group visit for set up and pack down.

Note: Volunteers will not work alone and will always be supported by one other volunteer or the Tour Guide Team Leader.
Further note: Group visits include all ages, from children to the elderly and those with additional needs. All necessary training will be provided but you should be comfortable interacting with both children and adults.

No driving licencse or personal transport required. Public transport to HQ is available
Wheelchair users may struggle with some areas of the HQ tour and getting water for group visit refreshments, but group visits should have a minimum of 2 volunteers so there should be someone else to help.
