Give a one off gift or make a regular donation to support the work of the Essex Police Museum by completing and returning a standing order form.
Essex Police officers and staff can make a regular donation through their salary payroll and retired officers and staff can donate in a similar way through their pension payroll.
If Essex Police has been important to you, or those close to you, a gift in your will could be the best way to remember and support us. Your gift will ensure we continue to introduce youngsters from the age of two onwards, to the police. We run an education programme for all school children in Essex. With your support we can also continue educating vulnerable adults or providing reminiscence sessions in care homes. Your support means that the history of Essex Police will be preserved and treasured for future generations.
To find out how to leave a gift in your will please view our legacy leaflet.
Come and visit us and book to come to one of our events or talks. Support the museum by using our donations box.
Give An Item
The Essex Police Museum is very grateful to those who donate items to its collection. If you would like to donate something please contact us by email (email@example.com). It would be useful if you can include as many details as possible and photographs of the item(s). Alternatively you can bring your item(s) to the museum on a Saturday* from 10am-3pm and see our Curator.
* There may be some Saturdays when our Curator is not here. These will be listed here.
When you donate something to us, there will be some associated paperwork in line with museum standards and ethics. In particular, we'll be looking to confirm that you are the owner and we'll be listing the background and condition of the item(s). You should expect the process to take between 15 and 30 minutes, depending on the size of the donation.
The Trustees of the Essex Police Museum are obliged to make sure that every acquisition is in line with its policy, and that we have the resources to conserve and store donated items appropriately. If the Museum cannot accommodate your gift, we may be able to suggest an alternative recipient.
