The district of Brentwood is in the southwest of the county. It borders Epping Forest, Chelmsford, Basildon, and Thurrock.
Named after it's main town, the district covers around 59 square miles (153 square kilometres). It has a population of approximately 77,000 people (2021).
Other towns and villages in the district include, Hutton, Shenfield and Pilgrims Hatch.
The District Commander role focuses on reducing and detecting crime in the district. They are also responsible for community policing.
