Maldon
The Maldon District is home to traditional marshland villages and historic maritime towns. It's diverse heritage extends thousands of years and numerous periods of English history.
The district covers 358 square kilometres (138 square miles) and has a population estimated around 66,200 in 2021.
The district has largely rural areas surrounding the Blackwater estuary and extending south to the estuary of the River Crouch.

Maldon District Commander
The District Commander role focuses on reducing and detecting crime in the district. They are also responsible for community policing.

Chief Inspector Steve Scott Haynes has been the Maldon and Chelmsford District Commander since February 2020.
