We are closely monitoring the impact of the virus on all our recruitment activities.

Scheduled briefings, interviews, assessments, outreach events and support programmes are being kept under continual review and may be changed at short notice.

Our priority is to make sure you are informed, safe and supported so ask all candidates and new joiners to check back to this page for the latest position in relation to the various recruitment activities being undertaken.

Many recruitment processes are continuing to operate as we have taken significant steps to reduce the risk of infection for all visitors and personnel.

You will find our main recruitment processes outlined below and how any changes may affect you.

  • Intakes – the intake on 11 January 2021 is continuing as normal. Please check your emails regularly for any updates.
  • All briefings will be conducted virtually.  Please check your emails regularly as we will send out further information. Please be aware that we are dealing with high volumes of applications currently and adjusted virtual process during the pandemic and as a result there could be a delay in you hearing from us. 
  • SEARCH Assessment – this has now been replaced with the College of Policing online assessment process. Any candidates waiting for an online assessment will be contacted in due course when a further assessment is available. These are likely to be in early 2021.
  • Interviews - All interviews have now moved to a virtual platform. You will be contacted with further information via email and sent a link for your scheduled interview directly from the recruitment team.
  • Medicals – all medicals are currently being undertake via self-declaration and telephone screening.  All candidates affected will received an email from our Business Services Team outlining the new process and any candidate action to be taken.
  • Fitness tests - All fitness tests are currently being undertake via self-declaration and physical testing on day one when candidates join us.  All candidates affected will received an email from our Business Services Team outlining the new process and any candidate action to be taken.

  • Intakes – the intake on 22 March is continuing as normal. Please check your emails regularly for any updates.
  • Briefing - all briefings will be conducted virtually. Please check your emails regularly as we will send out further information.
  • SEARCH Assessment – this has now been replaced with the College of Policing online assessment process. Any candidates awaiting online assessment will be contacted in due course when a further assessment is available. These are likely to be in early 2021.
  • Interviews - A virtual process has now been designed and candidates will be contacted directly to be allocated an assessment day.
  • Medicals – all medicals are currently being undertake via self-declaration and telephone screening.  All candidates affected will received an email from our Business Services Team outlining the new process and any candidate action to be taken.
  • Fitness tests - all fitness tests are currently being undertake via self-declaration and physical testing on day one when candidates join us.  All candidates affected will received an email from our Business Services Team outlining the new process and any candidate action to be taken.
