Serving since
July 2019
What did you do before the police?
I served in the Royal Navy for five years and have done various engineering jobs since.
Why did you join Essex Police?
I’ve already served my country and enjoyed it so wanted to move onto serving my county. I want to help make my community a safer place to live and to regain some self-pride.
Which area of the county are you going to be serving?
I’ll start my policing journey in Grays.
What have you enjoyed about your training?
Personal Safety Training week was great fun and gave me a real adrenalin rush.
What’s been your most memorable moment?
Not to sound like I’m being mean to my colleagues but it was an interesting and funny expereine when we had to see what it was like to have CS gas used on us. In the unlikely event we have to use our spray on a suspect, we are most likely to get sprayed in the process. It was funny but we all helped each other out.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of becoming a police officer?
If you’re thinking of applying, seize the moment and apply. You will not regret it.
