I want to cover all areas of policing across the next decade. I can’t wait to learn about our Roads Policing Unit and Dog Section. I’m looking forward to keeping Essex safe for the next decade!

What did you do before the police?

Before joining as a Police Constable, I was a Detention Officer in Essex Police Custody HMP Prison Service.

Why did you join Essex Police?

I have always wanted to be a Police Constable and I want to help keep Essex safe. It is a great force with a good work ethic, and I am looking forward to what this year holds.

What do you hope to achieve at Essex Police in 2020?

I hope to do the best that I can to help people and bring criminals to justice.

Which area of the county are you going to be serving?

I’m going to be serving Harwich, in North Essex.

What have you enjoyed about your training?

All of it has been intense and fun, not to mention educational. My training has also shown what great work the force does for the public.

What’s been your most memorable moment?

My entire experience in training has been so memorable, but the one moment that stands out for me is today, putting on this uniform and standing proud with my colleagues.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking of becoming a police officer?

If it is what you want to do and it drives you then make that step to help and keep Essex great, make it a safer place to be. It’s a great force to belong to and a great working family!
