What did you do before the police?
I was completing my master’s degree in criminology and criminal psychology. I also worked part-time in a nightclub as a supervisor.
Why did you join Essex Police?
I wanted to help people and improve people’s lives.

Braintree
What have you enjoyed about your training?
I’ve liked going out on shift and being thrown into the deep end – this has helped me learn quickly!
What’s been your most memorable moment?
I’ve really enjoyed sharing all of our experiences as a group and feeling supported by people going through the same journey.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of becoming a police officer?
Just go for it, if you have the initial thought to do it, apply and take it all as it comes. Good luck and see you on duty!
