What did you do before the police?
I was a civilian officer with Essex Police. I worked in the Domestic Abuse Investigation Team and this is what encouraged me to become a police officer.
Why did you join Essex Police?
I wanted to make a difference and help vulnerable people. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.
Which area of the county are you going to be serving?
I will be based in Harlow.
What have you enjoyed about your training?
The life lessons it has taught me along the way and self-confidence I have gained. I’ve made some life-long friends too.
I’m really proud of the achievements I’ve made so far.
What’s been your most memorable moment?
My most memorable moment has to be when I collected my uniform. I felt so proud of myself and I look forward to being part of our big police family.
What advice would you give to anyone thinking of becoming a police officer?
Just do it! If I can do it, anyone can. You will surprise yourself with what you can achieve and you won’t regret it.
