Essex Police is continuing to grow. The force is increasing in size by approximately 400 Officers over two years, we are rebuilding key parts of our estate and solving more crimes.

We are recruiting for suitably qualified Superintendents/Detective Superintendents who are eligible for promotion and Chief Superintendents/Detective Chief Superintendents to wish to join us as a level transfer.

We are looking for great leaders, with an exceptional operational background, outstanding personal qualities and a passion for people.  Essex Police is made up of different people with the same values. As an inclusive force, we are looking to attract people from all backgrounds.

Essex is a remarkable and diverse county with urban areas just minutes from the capital, international ports and airports and a large rural economy. This means you can advance your career and also enjoy a great work-life balance in one of the fastest growing forces in the country.

Our force is made up of loyal, committed, motivated and innovative officers, staff and volunteers. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional outcomes for victims, making the county safer and working with partners and the wider community across Essex.

As an inclusive force, we are looking to attract people from all backgrounds.
