The Contact Management Department provides the first point of contact for Essex Police. The team serves and supports a wide range of initial contact with members of the public, police officers, police staff as well as external partner agencies and organisations.
The Contact Management Team consists of Force Control Room, Resolution Centre, Customer Contact Administrators, Switchboard, PNC Section and Security Systems.
We are a busy team operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year providing a service to the people of Essex, dealing with emergency and non emergency incidents and crimes and despatching officers to incidents as required.

Please note, there are currently no vacancies for the role of PNC Support Officer or Switchboard Operator. When vacancies are available, they are based at Essex Police Headquarters in Chelmsford, with permanent full time and part time positions and a salary of £18,193 to £21,618 with shift allowance and additional weekend working enhancements available.
