Positive Action Discovery Events

Are you from an under-represented community? Are you interested in becoming a Police Officer?

At Essex Police we are committed to recruiting a workforce which better reflects our communities we serve. We are working hard to encourage those from under-represented communities to consider policing as a career.

A career in policing offers the opportunity to be able to make a real difference. It is proven that diverse, inclusive teams make better decisions and are more innovative.

We are committed to increasing the number of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic officers and female officers and staff to be more reflective of the economically active population in Essex.

The Positive Action Team will be hosting three workshops during April for those considering a career in policing.

We will discuss the role of an officer and the benefits of joining Essex Police. This workshop will also give those from diverse backgrounds an opportunity to openly discuss any additional concerns.
