Main purpose of the role:
Manage low Risk Registered Sex Offenders and MAPPA Violent offenders. Process and share information effectively in order to assist with the administrative requirements surrounding violent or sexual offenders.
Act as single point of contact for low risk sexual offenders and providing advice as required. This will involve considering the information being relayed and identifying whether the information may alter the risk level and require escalation for further action.
Conduct unannounced visits to Low risk RSOs managed within MOSOVO Support with a suitably qualified officer to ensure compliance with SOR and Dynamically assess each Registered Sex Offender to make sure they are being managed at the correct level by use of the Active Risk Management System, maintaining the accuracy and timeliness of the Risk Management system.
To assist MOSOVO hubs with visits to other RSOs as a secondary officer to include supporting lead officer where required and writing up details of visit.
Provide an ownership facility for level 1 MAPPA Violent Offenders by monitoring Athena flags, reviewing information, identifying any safeguarding concerns and sharing information as and where necessary.
Process requests from RSOs who wish to be considered for removal from the Sex Offenders Register, complete form PPU41 removal from register form submitting to supervisor for decision.
Collate data relevant to performance management and upon external request to include MOSOVO related Freedom of Information requests, quantity of offenders, risk levels, visits conducted and annual MAPPA report.
Provide general administrative support, which may include supporting MAPPA with preparation and actions, maintaining offender flags on police systems, and assisting with agency requests for information
Complete checks for partner agencies and share information in line with Agreements this will include completing checks using Athena, ViSOR, PND, Open source, PINS and all legacy systems.
Review information as provided by partner agencies, in particular Social Care and Probation identify any associated risks or possible safeguarding concerns and report to supervisor or appropriate MOSOVO hubs.

Educated to GSCE level.
Conversant with Microsoft Office (to include Word, Excel and Outlook)
Excellent communication skills post holder will be required to communicate with Registered Sex offenders.
Excellent motivation and organisational skills.
he role will be challenging and fast paced, and involves managing sensitive and potentially distressing information.
Ability to work to deadlines essential.
Previous experience working in policing environment, ideally within Public Protection.
Previous use of ViSOR system.
Some legal knowledge of relevant offences.
