Your Neighbourhood Policing Team
Neighbourhood policing is about keeping our neighbourhoods safe. It’s about knowing your neighbourhood and understanding the things that matter to you. We want our neighbourhoods to have the confidence that we will keep you safe.
Neighbourhood Policing Teams have police officers, police community support officers, and special constables. They work to prevent crime, deter criminals and make sure those intent on causing our neighbourhoods harm are stopped.
Your Neighbourhood Policing Team will work with local organisations, authorities, and neighbourhood leaders. They will listen to neighbourhood concerns and find solutions to resolve problems.

Antisocial Behaviour (ASB) - Concerns from residents about ASB in Brentwood particularly in hotspot areas including, Brentwood High Street, South Street and Shenfield Town Centre.
Action taken:
• We will be increasing visible patrols in Brentwood including hotspot areas, Brentwood High Street, South Street and Shenfield Town Centre.
• We will continue to work with partners including local councils, schools, housing providers and youth services where appropriate. -
Priority:
Violent Crime - Concerns about serious violence and drug-related harm in Brentwood.
Action taken:
• We will be addressing root causes for these issues and work with partner enforcement agencies where appropriate to tackle these issues.
• We will continue to hold community engagement events to discuss any issues or concerns. -
Priority:
Road Safety - Concerns from residents in Brentwood about road safety particularly in relation to speeding and anti-social driving.
Action taken:
• We will be focusing on targeting road safety activity in the locations causing the greatest concern, with stronger enforcement, including speed checks and intelligence gathering.
• We will continue to work with partners including Roads Safety, Community Speed Watch groups and Local Councils. -
Priority:
Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) - Concerns about safety for Women and Girls particularly in the night-time economy including transports hubs, Brentwood and Shenfield.
Action taken:
• We will be increasing visible patrols within Brentwood.
• We will continue to hold local engagement events to understand and discuss concerns.
• We will be engaging with schools, youth services and other partners to help ensure the voices of young people and women and girls are reflected in local activity.
• We will be working with partnership venues including transport providers and community organisations.
