This behaviour can make people feel unsafe, discourage visitors, and impact trade for shops. It also affects the overall feel of the town, especially in high footfall areas.
We have issued bans to people who repeatedly target these locations and ask for money in an intimidating way.
Officers are monitoring this closely and working with local partners on longer-term support.
We understand the impact and remain committed to keeping the area safe, welcoming, and open for all.
