The officer’s conduct is alleged to have breached the Standards of Professional Behaviour (SPB) in the areas of:

Discreditable Conduct
It is alleged that former PC Fance engaged in a pattern of abusive, controlling and violent behaviour towards Witness A over an extended period, including incidents of physical violence and the use of degrading language. It is further alleged that he improperly accessed and disclosed police information, breached bail conditions and attempted to influence Witness A’s account to police. The Appropriate Authority submit that if proven the conduct would amount to gross misconduct.
