Information Requested
Please provide me with figures on domestic abuse rates in Essex in 2021 compared to previous years.
Specifically, I would like to know how many incidents of domestic abuse were reported to Essex Police in the first six months of 2021 (calendar year), how many domestic abuse prosecutions occurred in this time period in Essex, and how many domestic abuse convictions occurred in this same time period in Essex.
Please can I also be provided with the figures for these areas in the entirety of the previous four calendar years too (2020, 2019, 2018, 2017).

Essex Police do not record conviction data on the Athena Custody system (this is held by the Crown Prosecution Service), however, in an effort to assist we have provided outcome data i.e. whether Charged, Summonsed, Postal Requisition, etc.
Outcomes relate to those either:
Type 1 - Charged/Summonsed/Postal Requisition
Type 1A - Charged/Summons - alternate offence. Offender has been charged under the alternate offence rule.
