Can you if possible provided the following information on Police pension remedy following the discrimination that was found to have taken place with the 2015 NPPS.
1. Can you please provide information if Essex constabulary are allowing police officer to retire from the force under immediate detriment as per the ruling in relation to McCloud/Sargeant unlawful discrimination in their pensions.
2. If this is the case when was the policy implemented and is it still active including officers who have to retire through the ill health process.
3 . How many officer have left the force that have been able to access the correct pension using your immediate detriment policy.

Yes this is allowed.
2. If this is the case when was the policy implemented and is it still active including officers who have to retire through the ill health process.
The policy was implemented in August 2020 and it still applies.
3 . How many officer have left the force that have been able to access the correct pension using your immediate detriment policy.
49 have retired on IDC basis. 10 are soon to be retired with the option of IDC.
