What recruitment processes have the force scheduled for 2022?
From 2022 the following entry schemes are: January the last IPLDP and February the last Investigate First Program IPLDP program. From March 2022 we will administer the first PCDA Entry program and the First DHEP Entry Program (PEQF). Transfers will continue to take place on ranks from requires specialist roles to enhance Essex Police Force’s offering. The specialist roles are reviewed regularly, with a key focus on detective roles and Sergeant/Inspector roles having a core focus.
What promotion processes are scheduled for 2022?
At present all rank promotion processes are scheduled to be completed, subject to resourcing requirements throughout the year.
How many new recruits is your force aiming to recruit in 2022?
Approximately 372. Please note this is indicative and subject to change. This figure is likely to vary due to factors such as final allocations for Year 3 of the National Police Uplift Programme, changes in attrition and changes in external funding.
How many individuals is the force expecting to apply to each promotion scheme in 2022?
A request that is conditional on a change in the status quo will not be valid, whilst this data is captured on applications for each process, projected numbers for future processes is currently not available as the position very much depends on the rank, numbers of people eligible exam passes, succession planning, skill set of the vacancies that are created, and other variables.
