The total number of people between January 2017 and June 2021 detained under Section 136 of the Mental Health Act 1983 and taken to an Essex Custody Suite as a Place of Safety.

Confirmed it is not possible to generate numbers of arrests for sexual activity in a public lavatory as there is not a reason for arrest for this offence on the Essex Police custody system.

Offences under Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003 are not covered by the reasons for arrest on the Athena Custody system as this section is not a notifiable crime and does, therefore, not need to be submitted to the Home Office for Crime Statistics.
