Can you please give me the total number of road traffic incidents/accidents, that occurred in the past ten years, where the usage of a mobile device was the cause of the incidents/accidents.

I am attempting to find which areas suffer the most from driving offences in the UK. My questions are as follows:
Having completed enquiries within Essex Police and in respect of Section 1(1)(a), Essex Police does hold information relating to your request. Under Section 1(1)(b) the below has been provided in relation to your FOI.
1.) How many Fixed Penalty Notices has your police force handed out in 2019 and 2020 for:
a. exceeding the speed limit?
b. using a handheld mobile phone while driving a vehicle?
c. driving without insurance?
Please note: It can take up to 3 months for some offences to be disposed, so the last 3 months of 2020 excluded from data as incomplete.

d. driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs?
We do not issue FPNs for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs. All offences would be charged if they come up to proof and are going to be prosecuted.
e. disobeying parking regulations?
Parking violations are not a police matter – they are a council matter.
2.) How many accidents have there been for the year 2019 and 2020?
In respect of Sec1(1)(a) Essex Police does hold information relating to your request however road collision data is published and will be regularly published therefore for the purpose of section 17 of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA), this part of my response serves as a formal notification of refusal of your request on the basis that the exemption given at Section 21 of the FOIA applies (Information accessible by other means).

Injury-collisions during 2020 involving one or more fail-to-stop vehicles = 262
Casualties in these collisions = 326 (3 killed, 48 seriously injured, 275 slight injuries)
