I would like to request information regarding your variable speed camera enforcement process,

Could you please provide the following information:

When photographic evidence is supplied to you about a vehicle breaking the variable speed limit, what is all the evidence it must contain for it to be enforceable , for example:

1, Must it contain an image of the vehicle in question

2, Must the camera take a picture of the speed sign showing the enforceable speed at the time of the offence

·        Time, date, location.

·        Posted speed limit.

·        Details of vehicle exceeding the speed limit.

·        Vehicle speed recorded.

·        Details of speed detection device.

 

Information that is provided by the variable speed limit cameras in Essex:

·        Event number.

·        Offence type.

·        Direction of travel.

·        Lane occupied.

·        Camera site address (location).

·        Recorded vehicle speed.

·        Posted speed limit.

·        Date/time of offence.

·        Time elapsed since variable speed limit changed.

·        Camera ID details.
